"Visitors" in the early twentieth century included teams of the University of Illinois (SDN-001005), Purdue (SDN-002172), University of Michigan (SDN-001016), the University of Wisconsin, the University of Texas (SDN-002745), Notre Dame, and the team from Carlisle Indian School in Pennsylvania (dressed in school uniforms resembling those of the U.S. Army at neighboring Carlisle Barracks (SDN-006100).
